It’s been quite the week of asset tokenization. I would sit here and write out all the milestones, new partnerships, etc., but I’d be here forever. If you want daily updates on things like 24-hour data, weekly RWA reports, 7-day data, new partnerships, new milestones, etc., that’s what @RWAFoundation_ is there for. As I will reiterate, this has absolutely been the best feeling I’ve had being in this space over the last 4 years. Seeing news like @Securitize partnering with @ARKInvest and @ondo partnering with @BlackRock are just 2 of the hundreds of pieces of positive news this week and long may that continue.

Seriously, why does tokenization matter and why should you care? I think a lot of people are still looking at the concept from the wrong angle. They see a stock, bond or fund being put onchain and tokenized and think the main innovation is simply that the asset now has a token. That’s not really the cool part. The cool part is that you can start building financial products, markets and infrastructure around an asset that exists natively on digital rails. Distribution changes, settlement changes, collateral changes & liquidity can change. The way different parts of the financial system interact with each other can change. And that’s why I think tokenization is being massively underestimated. And I know this sounds generic but we aren’t just putting the existing financial system onchain. We’re starting to build a financial system that was never possible with the old rails.
