Gas in the Toronto area is sitting around $1.80/L ($4.80/gal). Filling a Honda Civic here is about $85 ($60 USD). Fully charging a Model 3/Y is about $5 ($3.50 USD), including tax and delivery (on the Ultra-Low Overnight Plan) It really doesn’t make sense to pay for gas.

Tomorrow morning, SpaceX will attempt Starship’s first orbital insertion during Flight 14. • First Starship flight intended to reach orbit. Flights 1–13 were deliberately suborbital. • First orbital insertion burn after stage separation. • First deployment of operational Starlink V3 satellites into the constellation. • First in-space deorbit burn with a single Raptor, then a controlled reentry from orbital velocity. • First reuse of Starship heat-shield tiles (two tiles were removed from Ship 40 floating in the Indian Ocean). Elon also said this will be the final flight before SpaceX attempts to catch the ship with the tower on land, assuming everything goes well. That could happen on Flight 15 within the next month or two.

This is the difference between a @Tesla Semi and a traditional diesel Cascadia semi. Like Tesla cars, the Semi will have FSD. Truck drivers will sit back and arrive fresher than if they had to drive manually. Total game changer.

In a new interview with @CGTNOfficial, Elon Musk says SpaceX hopes to catch Starship around the end of next month, then refly the same ship at the end of this year or early next year. Full reusability is near.
