1/7 Why are we building StandX?
When we started building StandX, everyone asked: "Why build a stablecoin first?" We didn't listen, because every layer we built was a stepping stone to one thing:
Perps on anything, permissionlessly. Memecoin launchpads did it for ultra-early assets. Uniswap did it for spot. Derivatives, a $960 trillion market are still gatekept.
So we built backward: DUSD for yield-bearing margin, Perps where every position earns yield, MM Uptime for tick-level community market making. Today we ship the layer that connects them all - SIP-5: Universal Markets Listing.
1.7-2.1m BTC in P2PK addresses have public keys fully visible on-chain. no hash protection layer. new research from ethereum foundation, google, and stanford says breaking ECDSA needs 20x less quantum computing power than previous estimates. that's $140-170b in exposed value including satoshi's ~1.1m BTC. solana shipped Falcon-512 post-quantum signatures on mainnet in april. bitcoin core's response is "we'll soft fork when we see 6 month warning signs." bitcoin governance takes 12-18 months to deploy consensus changes. the math doesn't work. this got under 2,000 mentions on crypto twitter may 14-15. wallet teams held emergency calls. developers are sprinting. price hasn't moved. the hard fork debate alone will be a volatility event
