It's been a historically bad month and bad week for mortgage rates. Today's movement is in the top 5 one-day deteriorations since 2011. A mortgage rate with zero points yesterday now requires approximately 1.2 discount points to lock. This is why we are building Opendoor Home Loans - to help Americans buy homes.

The infra we built for the new Opendoor brochure page was genuinely difficult to build given everything we had to fix - but the new is quite good, and fast!

The book, HR Approved Way To Say Things I Can't Say Out Loud At Work, has become quite popular among Opendoor leadership. People just send screenshots of pages from it in Slack. @vu0tran, this morning, in Slack.

Muse is quite good. I recognize the complexity of what I am asking for but I'd like it to be on my side of the wall on all e2e encrypted matters. It is too under-permissed otherwise. If I have to move my entire compute into Meta's Secure VM, I will.

I can’t believe the Clarity Act didn’t pass with overwhelming support. Madness. This is like the candlemakers convincing government to ban both the sun *and* electricity.

I am building an Apple HealthKit app to just export all data from Apple Health (therefore all the other apps!) and put it on the cloud so my agent can read form it. I can't believe there is no off the shelf version of this yet and there is no connector.

The case for bi-merge is incredibly strong @pulte. Right now, everyone is forced to pay three out of three major companies that provide credit reports. That means these companies have no incentive to lower prices. They could (and do!) raise prices a lot and there is no consequence to them. It is a massive tax on the American homeowner. If you allow mortgages with credit reports from 2 out of 3 major players, you force them to at least think before they jack up their prices and increase their profits at great cost to the American homeowner.
