Rev. William Hechler, an Anglican clergyman (1845–1931) published The Restoration of the Jews to Palestine According to Prophecy in 1884. For him, the Bible left no doubt: the Jews must return. When Herzl published Der Judenstaat in 1896, Hechler rushed to meet him in Vienna.

Recently the Royal Anglian Regiment marked Minden Day, honouring the Battle of Minden in 1759. Serving soldiers, veterans and families came together for the parade, with soldiers wearing roses in their berets as per tradition. A proud day for the Regiment and all who support it 🌹 Read more ⬇️
