@bicepcurl learns about Commodities trading for the first time
Austin: “Cotton has been on a generational run. I mean, it’s up 30% this year”
Jeremy: “This would have outperformed your credit card debt”
“But when we dig in, the 10 year is a flat chart. So we’re learning now”
“I guess there’s an infinite supply of cotton. I’m going to take a shot in the dark here”
“When you’re trading commodities with infinite supply, like wheat, coffee and soybeans, you aren’t trading scarcity. You’re trading on the demand for this being higher than it was yesterday”
“If cotton is easily accessible and cheap to farm, then it will continue to be flat”
“But with coffee, maybe it’s harder. You need to import and export it. You can’t grow coffee anywhere, which makes it harder to produce”
“Coffee will continue to be extremely popular”
