Valkyries, please be careful with what we amplify right now. Many of us have noticed newly created or low-activity accounts suddenly posting very similar messages attacking Papergames, often repeating the same narratives and hashtags. We do not currently know who is behind these accounts, whether they are coordinated, or what their purpose is, so please don’t make accusations without evidence. But considering how much misinformation and organized-looking activity surrounded Valko’s cancellation, we should be cautious about allowing our anger and exhaustion to be redirected into someone else’s campaign. We have spent months clearing Valko’s name, supporting him, creating art, organizing projects, donating to good causes, and showing that he is loved. That is our cause. Please: • Don’t blindly repost suspicious accounts just because they criticize Papergames. • Don’t attack other games, companies, characters, fandoms, or countries. • Screenshot suspicious activity and preserve dates/account information instead of engaging with it. • Check sources before repeating serious allegations. • Keep our own messaging centered on Valko: his return, correcting misinformation about him, and asking for clear communication. We are understandably hurt and angry after everything that happened. That makes it even more important that nobody gets to weaponize those feelings or use Valkyries to amplify something we never agreed to support. Keep our message ours.
