🇸🇦🇮🇷 Middle East oil is slowly finding its way back to the market, with exports now at nearly 80% of where they were before the war.
Saudi Arabia had to shut its big East-West Pipeline on September 11 after drone attacks it blamed on Iraqi militias, which cut off everything flowing out of its Red Sea port of Yanbu.
Now it's back up and running, Aramco is already booking October shipments, and flows could hit 3 to 4 million barrels a day soon, though getting all the way back to normal might take another month.
Even Hormuz is picking up, from a painful 2.2 million barrels a day in late July to about 9 million now.
The pipeline got hit, patched up and pumping again in under 2 weeks, which says a lot about how badly the world needs that oil.
