Carmen Electra on Baywatch: It Pushed Boundaries — But It Wasn’t Porn
Carmen Electra is looking back on her time in the iconic red swimsuit and says the original Baywatch struck a unique balance.
“It had a certain tone to it that it was just such a fantasy… maybe it was the first time on television you could see so much skin because we really were playing lifeguards,” she told Fox News Digital. “So we could be in these skimpy outfits.”
She acknowledged the show’s sexy reputation but drew a clear line:
“And it wasn’t porn. You know what I mean? They didn’t have to sneak away and find a VHS tape… You can watch this. You can also learn something.”
Electra noted that fans regularly told the cast they picked up real skills — including CPR — from the show. “I could save someone right now if I needed to,” she joked.
She’s also open to a return for the reboot, especially if it means sharing the screen again with David Chokachi. “I could do something. Come in, have another love scene with David… Just something really cute and fun. I would be down to get into the water again.”
Classic Baywatch energy: sexy, fun, and still somehow educational.
At 54, Carmen Electra still looks incredible. Fitness is a lifestyle and a state of mind — and she’s clearly got it.
