CAROLINE WREN: “I cannot stress to you how insane it is to have a candidate in what is probably going to be a $400 million-plus United States Senate race, less than a month out from the general election, be missing for now 13 days.” Where is Talarico?? @CarolineWren

Caroline Irvin and Samson Mesghena’s fall wedding was a love letter to New York City, with the bride wearing a One/Of dress to her Upper East Side ceremony and reception at the Rainbow Room.

Carolein Smit’s sculpture makes sadness look almost too beautiful. The detail that stayed with me is the tears: instead of simply running down the face, they become a cascade of glossy ceramic forms, turning an intimate emotion into something almost ornamental. That tension feels very Baroque—grief presented with theatrical beauty, but pushed so far that it starts to feel unsettling. It’s hard to tell where the beauty ends and the sorrow begins.
