According to figures from Denmark's Ministry of Justice, non-Western immigrants and their descendants make up 10.6% of Denmark's population but account for 29.6% of violent crimes and 32.4% of rapes based on convicted offenders.
Researcher Lars Højsgaard Andersen of the Rockwool Foundation said that those with the highest crime rates are "almost always people from Muslim countries in the Middle East and North Africa as well as Pakistan and Turkey."
Separate figures from the Danish Correctional Services show 27.6% of Denmark's prison population consists of first- or second-generation immigrants. Including foreign nationals who are not Danish residents, more than 31% of inmates are non-Danish.
🇩🇰 In 1940 the Germans conquered Denmark so quickly that the Danes didn't have time to formally declare war against them. They surrendered after 2 hours.
