Egyptian national Karam Majdi, 27, who entered the UK by small boat in 2016 and falsely claimed to be an unaccompanied Syrian child, is fighting deportation after being convicted of raping a 14-year-old schoolgirl. Majdi was sentenced to 7 years in prison for the 2017 attack. His latest claim is that he cannot be deported to Egypt because he is bisexual and would face persecution. The Home Office argues the claim is fabricated, noting there is no evidence he had relationships with men and that earlier records only referred to relationships with women. Majdi has also been convicted since his release of possessing cocaine, possessing cannabis, and driving without a license. A tribunal judge will decide next month whether to accept his sexuality and nationality claims. If rejected, he faces deportation after serving the custodial portion of his sentence.

Egypt made such a big deal about supporting Palestine at the World Cup, but it was just an act. Egypt does not allow anyone in or out of Gaza!
