Flare brings its XRP pitch to Korean TV Speaking on Korea Economic TV’s Crypto Labs at Korea Blockchain Week, @FlareNetworks APAC lead Kyle Kim (@Banktheworld) described Flare as a blockchain for data. Flare checks outside information, such as prices or transactions on other chains, and smart contracts can use it. XRP holders can turn their $XRP into FXRP on Flare to lend, borrow against, or earn yield, then swap back whenever they like. Kim said approved operators hold the XRP behind FXRP. Each must lock up collateral worth more than the XRP it holds, protecting users if something goes wrong. In Korea, Flare is working with hardware wallet maker D’CENT and running a pilot finance product with weather data firm K-Weather.

Flare selects its price data providers by random draw on every block @FlareNetworks builds its price oracle into the chain's core protocol, so every feed is secured by the same economic weight as the network itself, as stated in Flare's developer docs. Each block, roughly every 1.8 seconds, a stake-weighted random draw picks a sample of the network's 100 data providers, and the chosen few submit small updates to the previous price. Every 90 seconds, all providers run a commit-reveal round, submitting prices in sealed form before opening them together so nobody can copy anyone else. Those slower anchor readings keep the fast per-block feeds from drifting, with outlier submissions filtered out.

Flare Network stablecoin supply dwindles -10% over past week. According to data on DefiLlama, the stablecoin supply on @FlareNetworks is down -10% in the past 7-days. On June 23, more than $50M in stables was hosted on $FLR, down to around $48.4M at time of writing. That being said, Flare's TVL currently stands at more than $123M, making it the 24th largest chain by TVL.
