The reason Robinhood has won market share is because of the adjacent user fantasy. People want to play in ecosystems that can plausibly expand the pie - where’s there’s a blue ocean of potential net new adopters. This is why no social app will ever supersede Twitter as the home for CT. Twitter will always be king because it’s on here that conversations can reach eyeballs outside of our own echo chamber. And it’s why small siloed chains don’t stand a chance against a top US consumer finance app with 25M+ users.
