Good Morning from Germany, where the labor market is losing steam. Employment fell again in Q1 2026. The pain is concentrated in industry and construction, where job losses far outweigh modest gains in services. The key exception: public services, education and health still created 181k jobs in Q1, up 1.5% YoY. Striking divergence: while German employment is shrinking, employment across the EU and Eurozone is still rising.
