The Open University's Animal-Computer Interaction Laboratory has developed the Dogosophy Button — a large wireless switch designed specifically for dogs to operate with their nose or paw. Trained service dogs can use it to control lights, fans, kettles, and other plugged-in appliances, helping people with mobility disabilities, visual impairments, or other conditions live more independently. The name comes from "dog-centered design philosophy" — the idea that instead of adapting human technology for animals, the device was built from the ground up around how dogs naturally interact with the world.
