ledger, the hardware wallet maker, said on october 9 that it is investigating lost funds among southeast asian customers of cryptobilis. cryptobilis is an official ledger reseller in malaysia, indonesia and the philippines, and ledger asked it to pause sales and shipments. the reported advice for anyone who bought there in the last 90 days is to replace both the device and the recovery seed. if an attacker set the seed before the sale, a new device that uses the old seed is still exposed. the cause of the losses is not confirmed.
