Modders have enabled DLSS 5 AI Neural Filters in games using a Neural Rendering DLL from the NBA 2K27 early access build.
Below are cutscene and gameplay comparisons from The Last of Us Part 2. It appears to be limited to RTX 50 series GPUs for now, and the performance cost is steep, around 40-50%, depending on the game and settings.
In some scenes, it looks incredible. The visuals feel remarkably realistic. In others, it looks a little too AI-generated. Still, the technology is fascinating.
