Oyo Nyimba, a Ugandan king, who became the world's youngest reigning monarch when he took the crown in 1995, has died aged 34, the prime minister of his kingdom announced.

The Lhasa-Nyingchi Railway, the first electrified railway in southwest China's Xizang, opened on June 25, 2021, ending the absence of rail service in southeastern Xizang and bringing Fuxing high-speed trains to the plateau. Over the past five years, the railway has facilitated the flow of people, goods, capital and information, driving industrial development and supporting sustainable economic growth across the region. Take Gala Village, famed for its spectacular peach blossoms, for example. The village has generated more than 3 million yuan (about $442,000) in tourism revenue so far this year. The railway has also helped expand the reach of Xizang's renowned natural mineral water. Thanks to an upgraded logistics network, more than 630,000 tonnes of mineral water have been shipped out of Xizang over the past five years.
