Frost was clinging to the steel shelves. My fingers lost sensation in forty seconds. Beside me, an American man in cargo shorts and flip-flops was humming softly, taking his time choosing vanilla ice cream. His skin must be made of iron. I pulled my blanket tighter around my shoulders, white breath puffing from my mouth. I bought my milk and sprinted to my car to thaw against the windshield. I keep a winter coat in my trunk now. Not for winter. For groceries.

Outside of coding, LLMs are like google maps but for thought processes. Mental models I have well established I don't use the crutch. But for things I haven't thought through for a long time, or for new "routes" of thought it's a great guide. I think this is the right mental model for AI as a teacher; teach the thought process rather than facts. Search reduced the need to know facts, and AI reduces the need to know derivations/thought patterns.

Outside of Tech, $XLI was hard hit today, & $LII $PSN $VFC, $VRT $DBD, $ACHC all suffered abnormally big losses as XLI broke its trend from late March. While Tech losses thus far have not really spread to other parts of the market which have been strong of late, like HC, Fins, which along with Industrials, all made new highs in the last month, it's important to keep a close eye on these given that Tech losses have accelerated of late. The bifurcation has grown w/ Equal-weighted SPX having made new All-time highs yesterday but meanwhile SPX, QQQ just broke short-term support I'll be discussing this in notes in the days ahead, but today's XLI break is not dissimilar from what happened in $DJI and both look to have short-term downside given today's break.
