Riders in Europe can now book an autonomous vehicle through Uber for the first time. The launch uses Gen-7 Robotaxi technology, with Verne as the local operator, in Zagreb, Croatia. UberX and Comfort are available in key areas of the city from 7:00–21:00. A licensed operator remains on board at launch as the partners phase toward fully driverless operations. Additional European cities are expected later this year.
