It was a modern marvel in its day. Equipped with built-in voice-chat features and a compact design, the keyboard enabled easy and quick Terminal functionality.
Rewind to 1983 when keyboards were hand-assembled. At least, the original Bloomberg keyboards were. Known as “The Chiclet” for their colorful, candy-like keys, each required a special cable that ran from the user’s desk to the Bloomberg Controller in a separate equipment room.
Rewind to 1996 when the Terminal keyboard evolved to respond to a growing user demand at the time: access to the Terminal via personal computer. Here's to "The Classic."
