Shiba Inu token holders actually FELL over the past week. According to @etherscan data, @Shibtoken lost 89 holders in the period between July 23-30. While this decrease is so small as to be basically irrelevant, it shows that $SHIB adoption has not benefitted from the industry's resurgence in memecoin attention. With that said, $SHIB did experience a massive price surge on July 25 and 26, its price now having somewhat retraced.

Between July 6 and July 17, @Shibtoken's holder base grew by less than 1,900. The explanation behind the insane spike in early July appears to still be a matter of speculation.

Final Fantasy XIV players in Japan can get a giant Shiba Inu mount through the country’s Furusato Nozei tax donation program. By making a qualifying donation to Shibuya Ward, players can receive the Megashiba mount along with other in-game rewards, including Fantasia potions, emotes, and outfit sets. The rewards are part of a collaboration between Square Enix and Shibuya Ward.
