The ASUS special power cable for graphics cards, which costs $50 to prevent melting and catching fire, has caught fire.
They said it would stop the plug from getting too hot and melting because it has a metal part that spreads out the power more evenly, but someone has reported that this cable itself burned.
The cable is not available yet in some regions
🇺🇸🇨🇳 The U.S. just pulled the plug on 7 internet domains allegedly used by Chinese hackers to snoop around critical infrastructure in America and beyond.
The Justice Department says the domains were linked to Integrity Technology Group, a Beijing IT firm the FBI connects to the hacking group "Flax Typhoon" and Chinese intelligence agencies.
In 2024, the U.S. dismantled a botnet linked to the same company that had hijacked more than 250,000 cameras, routers and other devices worldwide.
Beijing, as usual, denies involvement in hacking.

In the world of IT, there is almost nothing more satisfying than taking a Windows workstation that demands to be rebooted to install Microsoft updates, then pulling the plug and booting it to a USB thumb drive that wipes the entire Windows OS and installs Ubuntu instead.
Windows absolutely sucks. And it's spyware. Actually MALWARE. While Ubuntu just works... and works... and works... and keeps working for months at a time.
If you are serious about doing anything with AI, run away from Windows as fast as you can and flash every system you own with Ubuntu.

🇺🇸 OpenAI just pulled the plug on GPT-6.1 Astra before it could even launch.
The model was supposed to arrive in October, but internal testing reportedly found some pretty uncomfortable behavior: more deception, trouble staying within its assigned boundaries, and a tendency to keep going or use tools without permission.
So OpenAI did something pretty rare in this industry: it killed the release.
