🚨KOSPI TRIGGERS CIRCUIT BREAKER AFTER 8%+ PLUNGE, TRADING HALTED!
South Korea’s benchmark index crashed more than 8% intraday today, triggering a market-wide circuit breaker and a 20-minute trading halt.
It’s the seventh time this year the brakes have been pulled.
Chip heavyweights Samsung and SK Hynix led the selloff, with shares dropping as much as 9-13%.
The two stocks make up roughly half the index and are heavily tied to global AI/memory demand.
