And it turned out, FIFA needs UEFA far more than a new organisation by UEFA needs CONMEBOL. So the entire gambit of giving CONMEBOL all those free entry slots to the world cup in return for unwavering support for FIFA has failed. That means FIFA are fucked and CONMEBOL are fucked. It also means Infantino will be booted by the FIFA powerbrokers themselves irregardless of UEFA. Wouldn't shock me if they find an even more despicable candidate to replace him though.
