🚨 DRONE PROVIDES EYES OVERHEAD DURING VEHICLE VANDALISM CALL At approximately 9:40 a.m. on June 17, LVMPD Communications received a report of a man damaging a vehicle outside a store near Tropicana Avenue and Nellis Boulevard. A remote drone launched from a nearby LVMPD Skyport and quickly arrived overhead, where it captured the suspect striking the vehicle’s windows with a bicycle seat and a brick. The drone pilot provided real-time updates to responding officers, giving them critical information before they reached the scene. While officers were heading to the call, Good Samaritans had intervened and subdued the suspect. David Huerta Salgado, 39, was arrested and booked on multiple felony, gross misdemeanor and misdemeanor charges, including destroying or injuring property valued at $5,000 or more, injuring or tampering with a vehicle, resisting a public officer and possession of drug paraphernalia.
