Warden Chain is back online.
Over the past day we dealt with a security incident stemming from a vulnerability in a third-party Cosmos EVM component — a shared dependency used across many chains, not something specific to Warden.
Warden’s consensus mechanism did what it was designed to do and halted the chain, containing the issue on the spot. The vulnerability has been patched and the chain has been fully restored. All funds were kept safe and secure.
Our thanks to the validators, who did the hard work here, and to our exchange partners for moving quickly with us.
The Warden App / BasedWallet update is out.
> Staking is back.
> WARD balances and transfers are displaying and executing normally again.
Thanks for the patience while we worked through this. If anything still looks wrong on your end, tell us and we'll look at it directly.
Mid September Warden Updates
> Token Terminal and Launchpad are built. Testing in progress, on track for September launch. Support for Base, Robinhood Chain and BNB Chain at launch, with Arc to follow. Any chain with activity, will get supported on the terminal.
> Path forWARD has been updated. A programme of initiatives for the sustainability and growth of the WARD ecosystem. The first is the removal of WARD futures and perpetual contracts, executed together with our exchange partners. More initiatives to support WARD incoming. The aim is simple. Tie WARD's market to the products and the usage we are shipping, rather than to leveraged positioning around them. Derivatives relist across venues once that base is in place.
> WARD bridge routes to Robinhood Chain are open. Liquidity goes where the activity is. Pools will be opened this week. Same for HALO.
