Bot detection & human verification will be one of the most urgent demands for businesses over the coming years. Agent swarms will suffocate every website and form; small companies and government websites are most vulnerable. There is a huge gap in the market for this right now. When we looked at what offerings were in the market to use at X, there was not a single company that brought together all the latest technologies so we had to do it all in-house.

Bot Mode just got a much-needed Hermes Desktop overhaul. Bots now feel like they actually belong inside the app. Bot chats use the normal Desktop tabs, switching between Bots is cleaner, and unread activity now works through the same system as regular sessions. Open a Bot with no conversation yet and you’ll see that Bot, not a generic empty screen. Routines fit more naturally into the interface. Group chats and Bot sessions also picked up fixes for several of the weird edge cases that could make them behave inconsistently. Creating a fresh Bot got an important fix too. New Bots created without cloning another profile now start with a usable model setup instead of potentially failing on their first message. Bot Mode also now follows Hermes’ Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese language settings. If you actually run a roster of Bots, this is the part that matters: Less fighting with Bot Mode itself. More of it just behaving like Hermes Desktop.

.@bot is just so damn good. I've got multiple Google Workspace accounts that are authenticated and being used. It just works. Also works perfectly across both my Mac and my iPhone. I have two bots right now: 1. Chief of Staff - "R2" knows everything about me and runs my calendars, email, tasks 2. CRM - "Lando" Runs my outbound sales funnel and coordinates with R2.
