Colombia’s president-elect, Abelardo de la Espriella, after taking office on August 7, intends to cancel plans to open an embassy in Palestine and move Colombia’s diplomatic mission in Israel to Jerusalem.
The new administration also plans to restore full relations with Israel, abolish the visa regime, and withdraw the application to join the lawsuit against Israel at the International Court of Justice.
