✨ For Mariama, speed matters only if the money becomes usable. In UN Blockchain Talks #8#, we used the story of a fictional trader (Mariama) in The Gambia to examine #stablecoins# at the last mile, and where a payment still needs to be converted, spent, trusted, and supported locally. 🌟 The session looked at remittances, cash-out points, agent networks, liquidity, user protection, and the institutional delays that can leave people waiting even when faster payment tools already exist. Agents help you do things. Characters make you feel something. That's the difference Charms is built around. Most AI agents are tools. You ask them to search, summarize, write code, book a task, or complete a workflow. Their value is utility. Charms characters are different. They are personalities people can talk to, follow, laugh with, miss, trust, and care about. Their value is connection. That makes them closer to companions, entertainers, influencers, friends, and fictional icons than to productivity software. And for a character to feel alive, connection cannot reset every time you open the app. Charms characters are powered by SOTA memory through @honchodotdev: memory that reasons about relationships, shared history, and emotional context. The point is characters that evolve with their community. The mass-market opportunity is not only automation. It is companionship, emotion, fandom, friendship, and daily attention. People spend hours with characters because they are not just asking for output. They are building a relationship. And relationships create value. A beloved character can become a new kind of asset because thousands of people may talk to it, follow it, trade it, and care about it every day.

.@fettywap’s “Again” has been surging in streams in recent weeks, thanks to a viral social media trend/meme involving the song. 📈 The meme, generally called “Blasting Fetty Wap on the JBL speaker,” centers around playing old Fetty Wap songs from a portable JBL speaker during various historical moments. The trend began to pick up steam in January, when TikTok user @history.arena posted a video with the caption “How do you think the pilgrims would react if I pulled up to the Mayflower with my JBL speaker and introduced them to Fetty Wap.” That led to other users posting the song during other historical moments both real and fictional. “Again” averaged about 777,000 official U.S. streams each week from Dec. 20-Jan. 16, according to Luminate, and then logged 1.3 million streams from Jan. 17-23. The following week (Jan. 24-30), it surged to 4.7 million (a 264% increase from the following week). It blew up the week after (Jan. 31-Feb. 6), raking in 12.1 million U.S. streams (up 156%) and re-entering the #Hot100# at No. 41—it marked its first appearance on the chart since its original chart run in 2015-16, when it peaked at No. 33. It also became Fetty Wap’s first Hot 100 appearance since 2018. Take a look at weekly streams for Fetty Wap’s “Again."
