Jordi Visser
@jvisserlabs: oil hit $150 back in 2008.
It is $100 today, and people are still saying oil is going to kill the economy.
On Anthony Pompliano's
@APompliano show, Visser ran the actual math: household net worth is up roughly 3.5x since 2008, near $195 trillion. Oil relative to disposable income is the lowest it has ever been in US history. The dollar figure people fear did not move much. The size of the economy absorbing it did.
A scare headline that does not divide by how much richer the base got is not measuring risk. It is recycling an old one.
