Polygon's transaction count is insane. In the past 30 days alone, @0xPolygon has processed more than 145 million transactions, per data from @chainspect_app. Its cumulative transaction count now stands at an impressive 8.3 billion, and it is now a top-10 most scalable blockchain with some 55.91 real tx/s. Polygon isn't playing around in 2026.

Polygon gives AI agents a budget and a boss Polygon (@0xPolygon), the network behind ethereum:0x455e53cbb86018ac2b8092fdcd39d8444affc3f6, has switched on agent spend controls in its Open Money Stack. A team approves what an AI agent can pay for, sets a $USDC budget and an expiry date; then the agent’s wallet enforces those terms onchain. The wallet contract rejects requests over budget, outside the approved list, or past expiry. The team can also revoke the permission at any time to stop further payments. An agent can request a top-up when credit runs low, without needing a fresh wallet approval each time.

Polygon's Gigagas roadmap targets 100,000 TPS. By mid-2026 the PoS chain hit about 5,000 TPS of peak capacity. Visa added @0xPolygon to its stablecoin settlement program in April, making the $POL network one rail among several. Gigagas so far:

Polygon closes its Coinme deal and becomes a regulated US payments business @0xPolygon now holds 37 US state licenses to move money, plus 11 exemptions, covering 48 states in total, and is registered with FinCEN. It all plugs into Polygon’s Open Money Stack. Tazapay, Mesh, Toku, and Kira are among the first businesses using it for cross-border payments, account funding, global payroll, and US dollar access.

Polygon's stablecoin rail keeps speeding up... More than $3T in stablecoin volume has now moved on @0xPolygon since September 2020, per Polygon Labs. Over half of that total came after January 2025. Volume hit $933B in 2025, up from $276B a year earlier, and stands at $741B so far this year.

Polygon Staking Rewards Are About to Jump Polygon (@0xPolygon) plans to raise estimated gross POL staking rewards from roughly 3% to 7.7%. The higher rate starts October 1 and lasts until December 1. Around 27.3 million ethereum:0x455e53cbb86018ac2b8092fdcd39d8444affc3f6 in accumulated priority fees will fund the rewards. The tokens were already collected by the network, so no new supply was created. Rewards will still depend on validator commissions and staking participation.
