some longer thoughts on animal memes and why I believe they'll continue to offer some of the biggest opportunities in memecoins and onchain trading: onchain trading is driven primarily by attention, narratives, conviction, and community. narratives come and go, but cult coins tend to be far more resilient. they often build the strongest communities, ones that keep growing, spreading, and staying engaged regardless of the latest meta. historically, those coins have produced some of the biggest winners onchain. animal memes (dog/cat coins) will always, and I mean ALWAYS, be the strongest memecoin category for one simple reason. everyone instantly understands and relates to them. for whatever reason, they also attract the strongest cult communities, especially dog coins. (eg : doge/shib/bonk/wif/floki/neiro, etc..). @blknoiz06 mentioned on the @MarketBubble podcast that he noticed the strong pfp cult forming around solana:BcHEaaTCvycPwwsJ9yQTXdHP9X2gCLkznDbZ8VySpump and believes it has the potential to become the next breakout animal/dog coin on solana given the strength of its community and loud it is regardless of pa, and that's arguably the main signal you want to see in these cult coins. It's also no surprise that many of the best onchain traders from last cycle who made millions trading memecoins, have positioned themselves in solana:BcHEaaTCvycPwwsJ9yQTXdHP9X2gCLkznDbZ8VySpump, including @daumenxyz , @traderpow, @remusofmars, mitch, NBS, @OnlyLJC, @CryptoGodJohn, @ilyunow, and many former $SPX, $MOG $BITCOIN $WIF, and $BONK hardcore holders and community leaders. every memecoin that truly broke into the mainstream and reached deca-billions has reinforced that appeal. the names normies recognize, talked about, and made life changing money on were overwhelmingly DOG COINS. $DOGE, $SHIB, and many others. $DOGE reached ~90B. $SHIB ~40B. $WIF, $BONK, $FLOKI, and others all ran into the multi billions. I genuinely believe the hardest part of owning a great dog coin is the first few weeks or months while it's accumulating below 100M. that's when conviction gets tested the most. but once a dog coin breaks past that ~100M threshold, history shows they often accelerate into the billions as more people hear about them, the community snowballs, and the holder base grows from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands, and eventually even millions. when solana:BcHEaaTCvycPwwsJ9yQTXdHP9X2gCLkznDbZ8VySpump eventually starts trading on CEXs and attracts more attention from retail and mainstream users, the community will grow bigger and stronger and the cult will proliferate from there. In my view, the climb from 100M to the billions could end up being much faster and easier than the grind from 10M to 100M, especially that we're most likely in the pico bottom and the bull run is just starting.
