Shanghai has ranked second among leading international shipping centers, according to a report released Friday. The city surpassed London to secure the second spot, coming only after Singapore in the 2026 Xinhua-Baltic International Shipping Center Development Index, marking Shanghai's highest-ever ranking since the index was introduced in 2014.

Shanghai's new landmark Harmony #Bridge# (Yuanrong Bridge) on the Zhoudeng #Expressway#, has entered a major new #construction# phase with the installation of its central crossbeam. The 17.2km double-deck expressway is now 65% complete and is scheduled to open in June next year. 31 traffic lights along the route will be removed.
