Lucasfilm is reportedly shopping a new Star Wars Battlefront game, with Bungie and DICE among the names circulating.
Jeff Grubb highlighted an EGM Quartermann column saying Lucasfilm is looking for a development partner for a follow-up to Battlefront 2, and that Bungie is one of the studios in the mix if DICE passes.
No deal has been confirmed and the game is not yet in development.
Bungie has a long track record with large-scale sci-fi shooters. A licensed sequel would give the studio a clearer commercial path than another new IP.

Medium shot, low-angle cinematic portrait of an exceptionally gorgeous 18-year-old Eurasian doll-like witch posing inside a minimalist studio, accompanied by cute stylized 2D chibi anime stickers. Seated comfortably with her legs crossed in sheer black tights toward the foreground, she raises her right arm back, resting her hand behind her head amidst her hair in a relaxed, alluring pose. She tilts her head slightly, holding a playful, haughty gaze as she adorably pokes the tip of her pink tongue out between her parted lips.
Her facial features are doll-like and stunning: porcelain-fair skin with soft peachy blush across her cheeks and nose, a petite pointed chin, and strikingly clear, vibrant emerald-green almond eyes enhanced by winged eyeliner. Her silky pale platinum-blonde hair flows past her chest in long, straight layers with light wispy fringe bangs softly framing her brow. Large, slender metal hoop earrings dangle prominently beside her jawline.
She is dressed in an authentic Slytherin school uniform: an open black robe featuring wide sleeves lined with rich emerald-green satin, worn over a charcoal-grey V-neck knit sweater vest, a crisp white collared shirt, and an emerald-green and silver diagonal-striped silk necktie, paired with a pleated mini skirt and smooth sheer black tights.
The setting is stark and modern: she sits against a clean, seamless neutral pale-grey wall free of clutter.
Artfully placed in the composition are two playful 2D chibi anime character stickers: a tiny blonde fox-eared chibi witch sitting at the lower left edge, and another floating chibi anime girl with blonde hair and glowing green eyes on the right.
Lit by clean, flattering front-top diffuse studio lighting, creating a luminous glow across her fair skin and platinum hair while casting soft, natural gradients over her black tights. Photographed on a 50mm lens at f/2.2, ISO 100, 1/250s, capturing genuine skin micro-pores, fine knit fabric textures, and a mesmerizing, high-fashion cosplay aesthetic.

An Xbox business manager says the company uses AI and that you can make a game with a simple prompt.
Brandon Stirrup, who works on Xbox business strategy, said gaming is the only industry still pretending not to use AI because of negative user sentiment.
He made a small game in three hours of active work over a weekend using Unreal with MCP, despite never having made a game before.
Stirrup said he is willing to take the hit so hundreds of people at Xbox can stop pretending they are not using AI.
The statements treat AI use as already common inside Xbox, with the quick prototype offered as proof that basic game creation no longer requires traditional development experience.
