Loud yelling about whether or not the US controls the Strait of Hormuz
Mentions I tracked on Fox News from 12 p.m. ET to 10 p.m. ET Fauci: 89 El-Sayed: 64 WNBA: 64 AOC: 59 Hong: 52 Sophie Cunningham: 34 Mamdani: 32 Hasan Piker: 29 As we get closer to the midterms, I think it’s insightful to track what Fox News is focusing its coverage on. This list is based on a review of all Fox News programming from 12 p.m. ET to 10 p.m. ET (Outnumbered to Hannity), relying on video and transcriptions from the programs. Some notes on the count: Fauci was mostly mentioned in connection with released text messages. Some of El-Sayed’s coverage was focused on his comments on health care. While some of the WNBA coverage did mention Sophie Cunningham, a lot of it seemed more focused on pushing the WNBA to accept Enes Kanter Freedom and Royce White. The majority of AOC’s coverage was focused on her “woke 1” comment. Will Cain devoted most of his opening to her past comments and tweets. Her mention count would be higher, but she was mentioned only four times on the show despite her tweets and videos making up a large portion of Cain’s opening. Hong’s mentions came either in reference to the upcoming election or AOC’s comments. A lot of Mamdani’s mentions came from repeated references to a hearing on the pied-à-terre tax. Hasan Piker’s mentions don’t count every time they used images of him in the background while covering candidates.

Q: There's report that you told donors that they need to get J.D. Vance elected in 2028. Is that your official endorsement?  Trump: No. I heard about it a little while ago. I think he's great. We're way too early to be think being that.

Trump: Abdul El-Sayed—He’s a man of hate. He doesn't love Israel. He doesn’t love Jewish people. He hates them with a passion that burns in his heart. There's not a thing he can do about it because he hates them.

Cruz: They want to cancel Thanksgiving, they want to cancel Christmas. El-Sayed is also an Islamist, as is Mamdani. They want Sharia law.

Collins: Do you still believe that Thanksgiving should be canceled? Hong: I'm a chef, and one of the first meals that I made was for the community when I was 16 was a Thanksgiving meal. But Thanksgiving is also a time that's incredibly painful for many people in our communities. And so I think there, I wanted to make sure that people understood that there are multiple views, but views can evolve. And the position that I'm running for right now, and I think my background as a chef will actually help me become a better governor that's able to bring more people to the table.

Reporter: Why is the U.S. intervening to support the Japanese yen at this time? Trump: Japan’s been very good to us, with the exception, of course, of Pearl Harbor.

10 years ago Bernie would have been on the outermost fringe of the Democratic Party? Erm, 10 years ago Bernie won 43% of the vote in the Democratic presidential primary.

Kinnett: I think this is a really great example of a reason why the 17th amendment should abolished.
Sounds like Mussolini. Survivalist rhetoric is designed to elicit and sustain violence by getting people to believe they are existentially threatened. Great Replacement Theory is another version of survivalist thinking.

Martin: I would love to work with someone like Zohran, who's had record lows on crime. Kinnett: It’s a real shame that black voters don't feel that way in the south. Martin: What does race have to do with this? Kinnett: Excuse you. Excuse you. According to the Politico article citing black voters…. Martin: You know what they don’t support? They don’t support the gutting of the VRA. Kinnett: I’m so sorry that Politico article happened to you.
