The developers shared a new update on the MECCHA CHAMELEON malware incident. According to the team, the game itself was never infected.m, the breach was limited to a system engineer’s test PC, compromised while investigating a malicious mod map. The attacker bypassed the engineer’s Discord 2FA, took control of the official Discord server, and removed the development team. - The infected PC was a spare testing machine with no access to the game’s source files. - Internal logs confirmed the game files were never accessed or modified. - The compromised PC has been completely wiped and reformatted.
