Sheikhdoon Abdullahi Mohamud paid about $600 cash for the rifle, four 30-round magazines and around 200 rounds earlier this week, not knowing the FBI had already made the gun useless. Agents arrested him right after. Prosecutors say he'd recorded a video pledging allegiance to ISIS, talked about recruiting others, and wanted to copy the Pulse nightclub shooting, the Bondi Beach shooting and the New Orleans truck attack. He picked October 24 because of a Hmong arts celebration at the mall, and targeted it because he claimed its owners were Jewish, writing that he wanted to kill enough people that no one would go there.
