ASEAN’s AI future depends on collaboration, shared governance and strong public-private partnerships. With the region’s digital economy poised to hit US$1 trillion by 2030, coordinated action can ensure AI benefits all member states and citizens.

I can't predict the AI future, and I'm very unsure about what the right strategy or policies should be moving forward. What I do know is that people who scoff at the idea that we may be in grave danger have not read enough about AI.

Elon Musk on why SpaceX must win AI. “We must succeed on the software front.” Musk says SpaceX's AI future depends on three things: • AI hardware on the ground • AI software • AI satellites powered by solar energy He also says Terafab will play an important role in building that future. But the most important part, according to Musk, is Grok. “We're going to be training Grok on the sum total of all space information.” Musk describes SpaceX as the “parents” of the AI — Grok inherits the thoughts, ideas, beliefs, and values of the people who build it. “We must win on AI.” The future will be dominated by AI and robots. Build the smartest AI. Build it with the right values. Make sure it helps humanity move forward.

Anybody notice how fundamentally different Elon’s vision of the AI future is? While Sam Altman and Dario Amodei keep selling humanity fear......your job is gone, AI will overpower you, everything is an existential risk.....while chanting “AI safety,” racing for more power and lobbying governments for restrictions that could effectively choke off open-source AI for everyone else.... Elon keeps showing people a future actually worth wanting • Abundance of goods and services • Universal high income • Intelligence available to everyone • AI relentlessly pursuing truth • Huge support for open source • Work eventually becoming optional • Capabilities for humanity that were once unimaginable This isn’t some new turning point for Elon. This optimism has always been at the core of what he is building toward He has warned about AI risks for years. Probably more than anyone actually That concern is also part of why he started OpenAI as a nonprofit built with one goal of making advanced AI benefit humanity But he never made fear the vision His vision is that if we get AI right, humanity becomes dramatically more prosperous, intelligent and capable than ever before Being cautious matters But people don’t need endless predictions about everything AI will take away from them They need someone showing them what the future can give them That’s the difference with Elon
