Autonomous excavator building a wall! 🪨 This will blow your mind! 🤯 Researchers from ETH Zürich and Robotic Systems Lab have used an autonomous excavator to build a 65-meter-long, six-meter-high dry-stone wall. The autonomous system, called "Heap," precisely firstly scanned and then placed stones, forming a wall. Through computer-aided design and control, the robot was able to handle and position over 900 individual elements, some weighing over 1000 kilograms.
