On Friday, we welcomed @SecWar to Saronic in Austin as part of the Arsenal of Freedom Tour. He toured our production line and spoke directly with our employees about the mission and the role their work plays in supporting those who serve. Thank you, Secretary Hegseth, for spending time with our team and reinforcing the urgency and importance of the work ahead.

Our Franklin, Louisiana team just completed the hull flip for our third Marauder, a major production milestone, with Marauders 4 and 5 already moving through the line behind it. Our first Marauder is on the water, with a second close behind. We're moving fast to meet the urgency of the moment. With the expansion of our Franklin shipyard, we’re building the capacity to produce 20 Marauders every year, equivalent to one every 18 days. Congratulations to the entire Franklin team for making it happen. We're just getting started.

We’re excited to announce that Saronic has been awarded a U.S. Navy contract to build Landing Craft Utility (LCU) vessels at Port Alpha, our next-generation shipyard in Brownsville, Texas. Capable of transporting troops, vehicles, and up to 170 tons of cargo directly to beaches and unimproved shorelines, LCUs are essential to amphibious operations, resupply, and disaster-response missions. As Port Alpha’s first build, this program marks an important step toward expanding America’s maritime industrial capacity. It also advances our mission to deliver the vessels the Navy needs today while building toward an autonomous maritime future. Autonomous maritime vessels can take on demanding offshore missions like survey and inspection, subsea support, infrastructure monitoring, and safety standby while reducing the need to put people in harm’s way. As our work in commercial maritime continues to grow, Kevin Humphreys joins Saronic as VP of Commercial, bringing deep experience from Lloyd’s Register and Wärtsilä. He’ll help grow Saronic’s expansion into these markets as we bring our autonomous maritime capabilities to a broader set of missions at sea. Built to go where people shouldn't have to. The @MSFreePress joined us at the Port of Gulfport, MS, where Saronic has established a new testing and commissioning site — 30,000+ square feet with dedicated on-water access, where every Marauder completes final end-of-line testing and sea trials before delivery. "We focus on the autonomous capabilities for these platforms to actually go do the dull, dirty, and dangerous work without requiring people," Saronic Co-founder and CCO Rob Lehman told the outlet. We've hit another milestone in our $300 million shipyard expansion. The final structural beam is now in place on our Franklin, LA shipyard expansion project, marking a major step toward increasing production capacity for our 180-foot autonomous ship Marauder as we add an additional 300,000 sq. ft. to our existing footprint. We’re grateful to our partners @JEDunn and Alberici for moving with speed to bring this facility to life and strengthen America’s maritime industrial base.

From production at our shipyard in Franklin, Louisiana to our new testing and commissioning site in Gulfport, Mississippi. Our first Marauder has already logged hundreds of hours of on-water testing, with additional vessels set to follow the same path as production continues to scale.

As production of Marauder continues to scale, we're expanding the infrastructure that supports every vessel from shipyard to delivery. We're announcing our expansion to Gulfport, Mississippi, where we've established a dedicated Marauder on-water testing and commissioning facility at the Port of Gulfport. Our first Marauder is already undergoing on-water testing at the site, with trials running 12+ hours a day, seven days a week. Additional Marauders under construction at our shipyard in Franklin, Louisiana will follow the same path to Gulfport as production ramps. Marauder on-water testing is in full swing. The team took Marauder from initial design to on-water trials in under 12 months. Now we're running it on the water 12+ hours a day, seven days a week, proving out the autonomy at range and in conditions that don't cooperate. We're pushing the system hard - it's the same bar we've held on every vessel we've fielded, and we're holding it here. We're putting in the work that matters and we're glad to be doing it.

Ahead of "National Hire a Veteran Day," we're spotlighting one of our proud veterans - Glenn Meyer, Director of Supply Chain Strategy. Glenn served in the US Army and studied Engineering Management at the US Military Academy, West Point. After working at large tech companies, he joined Saronic to lead the supply chain strategy — overseeing production materials, commodity management, supplier development, and cost engineering across every program and site. Today, we're announcing a strategic partnership with Samsung Heavy Industries to accelerate the development of autonomy-capable maritime systems and technologies that strengthen America's shipbuilding industrial base. Building on our shared strengths in maritime autonomy and shipbuilding, we will explore advanced development of autonomy, AI-powered digital solutions, and production infrastructure, including robotics-based process automation across our shipyards.
