The ripple:native Ledger is preparing native lending and privacy features designed to expand its built-in DeFi capabilities, according to XRPL Foundation and dUNL validator Vet.
The upcoming upgrades aim to let users access financial services without relying heavily on third-party protocols.
A proposed privacy system would hide balances and transaction amounts while preserving access for issuers and regulators.
New lending features could also allow users to deposit assets into vaults and earn interest.
Institutional lending pools backed by RLUSD are being developed with Clearpool and Cicada Partners.
The upgrades could give both institutions and retail users more financial tools directly on XRPL.

Fire at Vanguard (VIS) Fab 3 in Taoyuan, Taiwan last night. A rooftop mechanical room on the 4-story fab caught fire ~11:30pm local and was extinguished in under an hour. 200+ night-shift workers evacuated, no injuries. Fortunately, the fire was in a rooftop facility room, physically separated from the cleanroom and tools. Equipment was back up and running normally within 2 hours, and initial damage assessment is minimal. Fab 3 runs Vanguard's most popular 130-250nm processes, mainly for mobile and server PMICs, accounting for 20-25% of the company's 8-inch capacity. More serious damage to the fab would have caused significant disruption to Vanguard's operations.

$MU $DRAM Micron's Strategic, Low-Geo-Cost Site Just Got Approved for 12-Hour Shifts, First of Its Kind in Gujarat, India.
"The Gujarat government has approved Micron's Sanand facility to operate 12-hour shifts, the first approval of its kind in the state, according to local media outlet Desh Gujarat."
"The first phase of Micron's Sanand facility spans more than 500,000 square feet of cleanroom space, including one of the world's largest single-floor semiconductor assembly and test cleanrooms. The site is slated to assemble and test tens of millions of chips in 2026, with annual capacity ramping to hundreds of millions of chips from 2027."
"At full capacity, the Sanand facility could contribute up to 10% of Micron's global output, supplying both domestic and international markets, according to Business Standard."
"Officially opened in early 2026, the Sanand site will support assembly and testing of both DRAM and NAND products. The facility is expected to reach production capacity of around 14 million units per week."
