I came to know of it through social media. I have spoken to Jamui DM, we tried to find out the location of the incident. He said that the incident occurred on Lakhisarai-Jamui border on 19th Sept. He has taken cognisance of the video and identified the victim through the number plate on the scooty. They were called. Two people have been arrested. FIR has also been registered. Others will also be arrested..."

#WATCH# | Delhi | On pharmacovigilance and healthcare safety monitoring, MoS Health Anupriya Patel says, "Patient safety is a top priority for the Government of India, and the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission runs two significant programs in this regard: Pharmacovigilance and Materiovigilance. Through these, we continuously monitor any adverse events related to medicines or medical devices across the country to ensure that safety levels are consistently enhanced. We have established an extensive network across the nation; Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring Centers and Medical Device Reaction Monitoring Centres have been set up in government hospitals, private hospitals, and medical colleges, and we are committed to extending this network further down to the level of Primary Health Centres. We have launched a new initiative on this occasion, the Bio-Vigilance Program of India. Under this program, the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission will now also monitor the safety and adverse reactions associated with medicines or biological products administered to donors or recipients during organ and tissue transplants in the country. It is a matter of great pride for all of us that the reputation of the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission is growing rapidly on the international stage. Due to our increasing competence, our IP standards are now recognised in over 25 countries worldwide, and the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission is also a member of the Pharmacopoeial Discussion Group. So, on this occasion, I would like to say that ensuring the safety of medicines and the safety of our patients is not solely the government's responsibility; rather, every stakeholder within our entire healthcare ecosystem has a role to play. From pharmaceutical companies to doctors, hospitals, and even the ordinary patient—everyone can play a significant role in this. Whether it involves medicines, medical devices, or—increasingly—organ donation and transplants, if any adverse reaction occurs, I appeal to patients, doctors, hospitals, and pharmaceutical companies to report it immediately. The Government of India has made arrangements for reporting through various channels, ranging from mobile apps and helplines to online portals."
