Convenience isn't a security policy.
Before uploading sensitive financial files, check:
- account terms
- data controls
- the data processing agreement
- who reviews the output
Sensitive files need rules BEFORE convenience.
Japanese convenience store chain Lawson Inc. plans to cut prices on their hand-wrapped “onigiri” rice balls next month on the expectation that the staple crop will become cheaper to procure
Just shipped a new convenience feature in Basecamp 5. Now you can drag images/files directly onto a docs & files tool on your project page to upload them directly to the project.
Before you had to click through then upload. Now you can just drop them right where you want them on the project page.
Small details add up.
Dion Rogers has a convenient exception for who gets the $70 Overwatch Mythics.
For seasons Blizzard refused to treat the roster like a queue. The excuse was excitement. “The ideas sitting in front of us.” That’s how Kiriko, Genji, and Widowmaker kept eating the customizable skins with new VFX. Two Mythics a season. Widowmaker just took her second in the same window Genji took his second.
Now Rogers tells PC Gamer spreading them out is “the number one thing” the team will conceptualize next. Blue-sky sketches. Lucio isn’t forgotten.
What’s public: $70, 80 prisms, two slots. What changed: the volume of the complaint. What didn’t: the shop.
I don’t think they changed their mind. I think Widowmaker sold.
Dominic Guay has a convenient exception.
At Ubisoft he helped ship Watch Dogs worlds that trained players to chase a marker until the map went quiet. Now Invoke is selling Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons as the game with no AAA waypoints, because a find should feel earned, not assigned.
They already knew the icon kills curiosity. They built the icon. They watched it work.
The compass can still hide. The map is just thinner. The lecture is new. The résumé isn’t.
Wizards didn’t hire a man who suddenly hates waypoints. They hired a man who already sold them, and now needs a 2027 D&D open world that cannot look like Watch Dogs.
Insomniac has a convenient exception for Wolverine’s “canon” senses.
James Stevenson said the scent trail could not be toggled. It was Logan’s mutant tracking, not a UI crutch. Off the table.
Marvel’s Wolverine is out on PS5 today. The collectibles are twenty whiskey bottles. You find them by following that same glowing path through Canada, Japan, and Madripoor. Stevenson is already joking that the studio is “cooking” patches and that you can smell it from the kitchen.
The trail is still there. The bottles still require it.
They sold you a tracker as character. Now they’re selling the patch as listening. Same bottles. Different excuse.
