Sources close to the matter today confirm that Jihad Miqdad had “a long history of heinous crimes and cases involving drug and hashish use before the aggression.” He has been arrested several times and has spent many years in prison. During this period, his relationship with Ashraf al-Mansi grew closer. After joining al-Mansi’s militia, Miqdad attempted to lure his wife and family into joining him at the militia’s headquarters. However, his clan took a firm stand, refusing to have anything to do with him or provide him with any form of social support. Faced with this firm rejection, Miqdad resorted to blackmail and intimidation. He called his family and openly threatened them, saying, “I’m going to bomb the house with an F-16.” Less than half an hour later, the family received another call from a private number. The caller claimed to be from the “occupation army” and demanded that the family’s house and nearby schools sheltering displaced people be evacuated. It later emerged that the caller was none other than al-Mansi himself. This was a blatant attempt to terrorize the family into relocating into the militia’s headquarters.

On Oct. 24, 2025, outside the Islamic Cultural Center of the Bronx, the DSA socialist choked up and said, “I want to speak to the memory of my aunt, who stopped taking the subway after September 11th because she did not feel safe in her hijab.” He wrapped it in a sermon about Islamophobia in New York. Nearly 3,000 people were k*lled that morning. JD Vance put the speech in plain English: “According to Zohran the real victim of 9/11 was his auntie who got some (allegedly) bad looks.” Internet users then posted Masuma Mamdani, his father’s sister. Her LinkedIn put her at AMREF Health Africa in Tanzania from January 2000 through December 2003. Public photos do not show her in a hijab. Three days later Mamdani told reporters he had meant someone else. “I was speaking about Zehra fuhi, my father’s cousin, who passed away a few years ago.” Fuhi means paternal aunt in Urdu and Hindi.
