Zano turns 7 today! 🎂 In 2019, we launched with one mission: make financial privacy the default, not a feature. No opt-in. No compromise. No exceptions. Seven years later, here's what that actually looks like: 🔹Zarcanum: the world's first Proof of Stake consensus with hidden amounts. No other blockchain has done this. 🔹 Confidential Assets: private tokenization on Layer 1. Issue your own tokens with the same privacy guarantees as native ZANO. 🔹Ionic Swaps and Zano Trade: a privacy-focused DEX where all your trades are completely shielded. 🔹On-chain governance: stakers vote anonymously on protocol decisions. 🔹 Real-world spending: together with our partners, Zano can be spent at millions of merchants worldwide. None of this happened because of hype cycles. It happened because a small team and a dedicated community showed up every single day for seven years. Year eight is already in motion. Two major upgrades are ahead: Hardfork 6 with Gateway Addresses, opening Zano to exchanges, protocols, and payment networks, and Hardfork 7 with full Proof-of-Stake consensus for a faster and more secure blockchain. Together, they will turn infrastructure into adoption. Thank you to every zAnon who has been part of this. We're just getting started. 💙🔒

"I have nothing to hide" holds up until your balance is public and tied to your name. Then it becomes "I have everything to lose." We seal letters in envelopes. Not because we're hiding something, but because it's nobody else's business. Financial privacy is exactly the same.

dude, so many people obsessing over fucking tx speed & scale are the same people who deposit into a cex, wait 30 mins for confirmations, and then wait another day or two to get money into their bank account. if fully shielded txs took 1-2 mins to be included, most users would _not_ care at all (and i definitely wouldn't). it's fine to accept a bit of latency guys if the tradeoff is getting something much more valuable, i.e. actual financial privacy. too many folks are still optimising for the wrong things.

DCG owns grayscale. grayscale filed the ETF. silbert controls the narrative and the product. meanwhile XMR is up 18% over the same period. 90 percentage point gap between compliant privacy and mandatory privacy. the market is telling you which version of financial privacy gets the institutional on-ramp and which one stays in the shadows. ZEC's optional transparency is the regulatory wedge. XMR's mandatory opacity is the regulatory wall.

The conversation around stablecoins is shifting... New oversight, new responsibilities for issuers, new questions about what on-chain life looks like going forward. It's worth remembering what public ledgers actually mean in practice: - Every wallet you interact with can see your full history. - Competitors can watch your moves. - MEV bots can front-run your trades. - Chain analysis firms package your activity and sell it on. Financial privacy isn't about hiding, it's about choosing who sees what, and when. That's a normal expectation in every other part of life.
