The Soyuz program traces its lineage to the first human spaceflight. Part of flying on the Soyuz includes joining that tradition. I wanted to share some of that experience here. Before we leave for Kazakhstan next week, we participated in that tradition and visited Red Square to lay flowers on the memorials of Yuri Gagarin, Sergey Korolev, and other cosmonauts. I’ve read a lot of books on the subject, but it’s hard to imagine what it was like to witness those first space flights. I can only think it was like seeing self-landing rockets, Artemis, and a moonbase become a reality. These next few years will be amazing to witness!

The great advantage of flying regularly is that you're forced to be offline. I'm at the airport and about to board my flight to San Francisco again. I always like to use this time to work through my reading list. This time: Nick Bostrom's *Superintelligence*. I've unfortunately neglected to read it until now, but I'm really looking forward to it (but only heard good about it). Bro… I booked everything for the Tesla Cybercab launch. Flights to Austin from the Bay Area for my whole family and kids. A place for us to stay. A Tesla for the entire week. Flying dedicated gives constellation operators like Synspective control over launch schedule, launch site, and orbit, enabling them to deploy their constellation exactly how they want to without compromise. We're booked to fly 16 more missions for Synspective to deploy the rest of their constellation, so we're still just warming up! (and we're gonna need more owl themed mission names 🦉)
