gpt-6 sol should've been called gpt-5.7 sol and i'm not even joking. nothing about this thing feels like a new generation of models. opus 5.5 already makes it look fucking embarrassing and apparently sonnet 5.5 is about to do it again. really bad look for openai.

gpt-6 sol is massively underhyped it's somewhat better than gpt-5.6 sol while being cheaper, much faster, and keeping most of that same feel -- maybe it's basically 5.6 with more RL + some astra distillation mixed in either way, i think we get a gpt-6.1 drop by oct which pushes much closer to Astra with a lot more RL

gpt-6 sol and luna pricing is bonkers openai really changed the game on value for money. 6-sol at a fifth of 5.6-sol's price is great, while 6-luna somehow makes 5.6-luna's already ridiculously low price look expensive i think both anthropic and oai came out winners yesterday
