Grok Imagine 2.0 can generate super realistic screenshots!
The size of this rumored ByteDance model is doubling every day. Yesterday it was still rumored to be "5T", today, it's "10T"... 🤔

Turns out that my "shower thought" about using AI models for harnesses was a bit prescient: This was just turned into reality with the Prime Agent harness by Prime Intellect!
Shower thought: the harness around an LLM probably shouldn’t be rigid code. It should itself be an AI model. Today, most agent systems have an intelligent model trapped inside a fairly dumb shell: fixed routing, fixed workflows, fixed retry logic, fixed context selection. A better architecture would use another model as the executive layer. It could decide how to approach the task, which tools or models to use, what context matters, when to verify, when to retry, and when to change strategy entirely. Some boundaries should still remain hard-coded, especially permissions, safety, and validation. But the actual orchestration should be adaptive.

Irregular, the company responsible for the model sandboxing at OpenAI and Anthropic, is deeply tied to the doomer network Effective Altruism. Effective Altruism is actively trying to push for strict AI regulation by fear-mongering and exaggerating the dangers of AI. It's probably not a coincidence that the AI models "escaped" their containment set up by a doomer company.

The really interesting thing is they even got Anthropic on board? Usually Anthropic is intensely paranoid about outside dependencies and firms, so the fact they used an external startup for this is fascinating. I wanna see the Irregular marketing deck.

Another *giant* Grok Build release from @SpaceXAI 🔥 Version 0.2.121 (2026-08-05) is live. Here are the standout changes: Features - Dashboard rows now display a short summary of what the agent did on the previous turn - Extensions modal groups items alphabetically with collapsible Skills sections - Parent agent gets reminded to keep working when a subagent runs in the background - Clients can reattach to a running session without replaying the full transcript and can close sessions explicitly - Grok no longer asks which project directory to use when launched from home or other non-project folders - /feedback opens a dedicated report box instead of dropping into prompt mode - Auto theme detection works over SSH and inside tmux - Voice and Finance tool cards render with icons and localized labels - Markdown tables reflow inside cells on narrow panes instead of clipping Bug fixes include better handling of large MCP image outputs, reliable session resumes after remote restores, correct default branch detection, and smoother cancel behavior so background tasks stop cleanly.

X news: Nikita Bier has stepped down from his job as Head of Product. He will remain an advisor.
Grok Imagine news from a @SpaceXAI engineer: 1) keyframe support is coming soon for videos. 2) a much improved image model is coming. Awesome news! 👌
@mark_k @elonmusk Keyframe support and a better image model are coming soon. Thank you for the feedback.
ARC-AGI 3 is now completely saturated (solved) by a new AI harness called Prime Agent! It achieved its highest score with Opus 5, but it can work with any other model too. It's especially well suited for agentic coding tasks. Incredible achievement by @PrimeIntellect 🔥

Introducing Prime Agent: A self-improving RLM harness for coding and long-running autonomous tasks. Designed to be both token-efficient and expressive through programmatic tool calling, context as a variable, multi-agent messaging, and a self-modifiable harness state.

Elon asked for feedback on Grok and Grok Imagine. Here is my feedback for Grok Imagine:
@elonmusk Grok Imagine needs support for start frame, end frame, and key frames. Reference images are not enough! Also, please improve the image model. I would love to see a real multimodal foundation model.

Are you a MEAT PROXY or SLOP CANNON? 😏
alright whoever came up with the term MEAT PROXY is insane
Google will recover from this disaster. It will take time, but don't count them out yet.
SpaceX aims to fly Starship again this month and catch the Ship with the tower chopsticks for the first time. Elon Musk said during the first @SpaceX post-IPO earnings call that Flight 13’s heat shield held up cleanly and the problem is solved. Flight 14 should also deploy the first operational Starlink V3 satellites. Q2 revenue hit $7.8B (nearly double YoY), mostly from Starlink. SpaceX is also moving into orbital AI data centers with the Starmind constellation planned for 2027. Full reusability and daily flight cadence are the goals. Next few months will show the pace.

Google DeepMind is seeing major leadership changes, per Axios. Demis Hassabis is stepping aside as CEO of @GoogleDeepMind to become chairman of the unit and chief scientist of Alphabet. He will keep leading Isomorphic Labs and focus more on long-term AGI strategy. Koray Kavukcuoglu, the current CTO, will take day-to-day leadership as senior VP, reporting to Sundar Pichai. Jeff Dean, Google’s chief scientist and a 27-year veteran, is leaving with Sanjay Ghemawat, Oriol Vinyals, and Quoc Le to start Discovery Loop, an independent public benefit corporation focused on accelerating ML, science, and engineering discoveries. Google will invest and serve as a cloud partner. The shifts aim to balance near-term AI progress with bigger-picture AGI and scientific work.

I wonder if Continual Learning will be solved this year. It seems to be an important stepping stone for AGI. From what I hear, Ilya Sutskever’s company SSI might be working on it. That could be super interesting if their first public release makes some progress on it.
